TEGAN HAMMOND BIOGRAPHICAL FILM
Prompted by a high school assignment to create a biographical film, I directed this piece as a reel for professional stunt driver, Tegan Hammond. The focus point of this short film was to portray the invigorating and talented life lead by this inspirational figure via the use of personal dialogue as well as the insight of her close relatives.
Raised behind the wheel, Tegan puts the pedal to the metal when it comes to leading her life of passion. It’s an adrenaline high that has been in her blood ever since day one. Being the seventh woman in the world to drive over 300 mph in a race car fueled her desires to expand upon the possibilities that lay in her near future.
In an attempt to tell her story from the beginning, I sought to highlight the significant change in her life that began just a few years ago when she decided to push toward her dream of becoming a well respected professional female stunt driver for commercials and film production.
Utilizing the pre-existing content filmed of Tegan from various commercials that are vital to her story of innovation and change, I combined footage of my own to tell her story in an informative yet cinematic manner. The birth of Tegan’s reel, Shifting Gears, now serves as her visual portfolio of her ever-expanding career.
